Chicago-style hands

My hands smell like a Chicago-style hot dog!

For some reason, you can smell every part of the hot dog: from the rich smell of Vienna beef, to the plain white bun, to the sweet aroma of mustard infused with juices from the pickle. I can even smell the moistness of the tomatoes, the acidity of the onions, the tang of the relish, and the slight spiciness of the sport peppers.

Chicago-style Hot Dog!

I don’t know why you can smell all the parts. Maybe pickle juice brings all the volatile molecules out, or maybe I’m just smelling my breath…

I’m gonna miss this in Ithaca.

About

Mmmm cheese...

I am a 1st-year graduate student in physics at Cornell University, after finishing my undergrad years at Michigan State.

This is a sort of foodblog... or rather, a foodlog. Wow, that sounds horrible. But I'd just like to keep a log of what I cook, so I can improve my skills and treasure my recipes. It's like a food lab notebook!

And I do rather enjoy cheese.
